Peter Drops In On His Service Department
Check out this edition of LABimmerInsider.com where Peter and Carl (Service Manager) examine the benefits of BMW Maintenance protection.
Peter visits Carl in South Bay BMW’s service department to discuss a concern his son’s teacher has about her car. She wants to purchase the car off-lease to give it to her daughter, and wants to know what she can do to protect herself.
Carl discusses her options and other ideas that might help consumers gain some insight into the extended protections on BMW Maintenance and Warranty.
Watch the video to learn about your options.

Does each dealership establish their own fee schedule and or deductible with regards to warranty and maintenance contracts? Or are those charges based on “BMW” guidelines as is the service?
This video was Very Imformative. We have more clarity on the maintenance program and extended warranty, that we currently have on our 2 vehicles. We’re glad to be a BMW, better yet South Bay BMW Customers.
i have a 2007 328 that is coming off lease in sept 2010. i am thinking about purchasing the car. what is the approx. charge to certify the car? i understand i need to certify it to purchase it off the lease. in addition, is the extended maintainance a 2 year or 3 year contract?
thank you
Is it still possible to get the extended maintenance if my car is no longer under the BMW maintenance? I have an 2005 X3 and I believe it is no longer covered but I do love the BMW maintenance coverage.
Can you purchase a maintence packet on a existing purchase with an extended warranty? Do you have to pay for it all at one time, or can you make payments?
Thanks Belinda for your question!
YES,
If your car is eligible you may be able to still purchase. Payments are do up front. However I would like a chance to give you more detail on options.
