That is a very good question, and I would like to say you spend way too much time on the freeway to notice this discrepancy. The original plan was to have two sets of double yellow lines, but with freeway construction and the addition of many carpool lanes, some second sets of double yellow lines were never added. It is illegal to cross into a carpool lane except where it is not painted or it is painted with white lines. Drive safe.

The title "How BMW Drivers Can Get Out Of Speeding Tickets" was not addressed. We now know what won't work (bribery, stories, etc) but the sell here for me to watch the vid was to earn how to get out of a speeding ticket.

One tip is to search the NMA and see what tips they can give you. It worked for me a few years ago. I argued that the traffic survey on the street I was cited was outdated and misrepresentative of the traffic flow at the time of the ticket (rush hour), and had the ticket dismssed BY MAIL!

THAT is the kind of advice one needs to Can Get Out Of Speeding Tickets. Please add more here, Peter.

Please also ask O X why in the carpool lane are there areas where there are TWO double yellow lines (treat this like a curb) while in most it is just one double yellow line (on a regular road, it can be crossed to enter a driveway). Either one or two double yellow lines means it is illegal to cross the line on a freeway.

Is it because: 1.It allows motorcycles and such more room; 2. it means that if it is illegal with a single double yellow line, it is REALLY illegal to cross a double double yellow line (sillY)? or 3. some other reason?
